Part of his routine

My mother comes home from work very late, she says she needed the overtime pay to support our tuition fees.  Both my sister and I are now in college, and tuition fees and other expenses are not cheap in college.  Both she and dad made sure we never worry about finances, and we could see all the effort they were doing for us.

Working late almost every night caused them to have dark circles around eyes to appear.  And it made them look stressed and older, it made their eyes seem sunken.  So, my sister and I did a little research and bought them something to  get rid of their dark circles around eyes, a face cream.  My mom was thankful but my dad, at first, was reluctant about using a face cream, but after a few persuasions, he agreed to try the face cream for a week.  And when the dark  circles around their eyes disappeared, he was so satisfied,  that applying face cream before going to sleep became part of his routine.

Taking up first aid training

Ever since my son was five years old, he has shown interest in sports, particularly football.  It started with watching NFL on TV with his dad, and then playing pretend football on our lawn.  And now that he is in high school, he belong the school’s football team.

As his mother, I know all about the potential injuries that athletes encounter. The most common and usual injuries is Muscle Strain. Our bodies have over 600 hundred skeletal muscles, and the possibilities of straining one of them seem endless.  Two of the muscle strains my son usually have are the Calf Strain and Bicep Tendonitis. Calf Strain is common is sports involving quick acceleration, jumping or sudden changes in direction, while Bicep Tendonitis is common in strength training and resistance exercises, and also in sports stressing the upper arm.  My husband and I had lost count on how many times we rushed our son to the hospital due football injuries.  However, injuries cannot be avoided in sports this is the reason why, I had to take first aid training for my son.
