Taking up first aid training ...

Ever since my son was five years old, he has shown interest in sports, particularly football.  It started with watching NFL on TV with his dad, and then playing pretend football on our lawn.  And now that he is in high school, he belong the school’s football team.

As his mother, I know all about the potential injuries that athletes encounter. The most common and usual injuries is Muscle Strain. Our bodies have over 600 hundred skeletal muscles, and the possibilities of straining one of them seem endless.  Two of the muscle strains my son usually have are the Calf Strain and Bicep Tendonitis. Calf Strain is common is sports involving quick acceleration, jumping or sudden changes in direction, while Bicep Tendonitis is common in strength training and resistance exercises, and also in sports stressing the upper arm.  My husband and I had lost count on how many times we rushed our son to the hospital due football injuries.  However, injuries cannot be avoided in sports this is the reason why, I had to take first aid training for my son.
